American Alarm Campus Wiring: |
American Alarm Installing six plasma televisions at American Alarm & Communications’ new state-of-the-art 24-hour Security Command Center in Arlington, MA proved an engineering challenge. Normally, an installation involving several plasmas requires wood studs or wood-reinforced steel studs to support the equipment’s excessive weight. At this facility, the walls were constructed using steel studs with no reinforcement. The wall’s curved nature added additional difficulty to our challenge. Our engineers were able to efficiently open the wall to install the necessary internal reinforcement and developed a plywood support solution to erect on the back of the wall to sure up and disperse the weight of the televisions over a wider range of structural studs. The hardware we used to affix the plywood to the wall is in perfect alignment, ensuring the aesthetic even where few actually see it. Careful measurements and alignment details were collected and processed to ensure adequate and accurate installation over the curved architecture of the wall, adding to the smooth and blended look of the finished product. Integrisys provided the highest quality in commercial grade plasma technology to fit the application. The units provided are specifically designed for long term, full-time use in a commercial arena. They have built-in technology that uses pixel shifting to help avoid image burn-in on the screens, adding to the life span of the unit. The units also host a wide range of input source types, leaving the client with great flexibility to choose from, and swap between, a large variety of source options. Bill McLaughlin, President of American Alarm, has this to say about Integrisys: “The Integrisys team impressed us with their quality workmanship,
ingenuity, and work ethic. They even worked a holiday weekend in order
to meet their deadline.” |
